Qual8 Qualifiers establish what a rifle-and-ammunition system—and the shooter using it—can demonstrate against a defined standard. An earned badge appears with the qualifying rifle in Qual8, backed by the rifle, ammunition, target, distance, and result that earned it.

Four Qualifiers. Two Different Questions.
The four qualifiers are independent, not a required sequence. Select the qualifier that addresses the question you need answered: the performance of the rifle-ammunition system or the capability of the shooter using it.

Each Qualifier Uses Its Own Target.
The targets are not interchangeable. Each one has the markings and scoring areas required for that qualifier.

Recommended order
Test the Rifle First. Then Test the Shooter.
This order is recommended, not required. If the shooter falls short later, you already know the rifle and ammunition have been tested.

What each badge means

Each badge answers one question. It should not be read as proof of something the test did not measure.
LQ Proves the System
It does not prove field-position shooting by the shooter.
HQ Proves Field Execution
The earned distance is the line demonstrated, not a leaderboard or a number to brag about.
MQ-600 Proves Match-Grade Precision
“Qualified” does not mean the shooter won or entered a sanctioned match.
Velocity Helps Explain
Chronograph data adds context, but the shots on the required target decide the qualification.
